The Village Montessori is the Data Controller for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998.
We collect information from you and may receive information about you from your child's previous school and the Learning Records Service.
We hold information about children to:
Support their development.
Monitor their progress.
Provide appropriate pastoral care.
Assess how well the setting as a whole is doing.
This information includes contact details and personal characteristics such as ethnic group, special educational needs and any relevant medical information.
How we share your information
We will not share information about you or your child with anyone outside the setting without your consent, unless permitted or required by law and our policies.
This is particularly relevant to matters concerning the safeguarding of children.
We are required by law to share certain information with the Local Authority and the Department for Education (DfE).
